Language Courses
The Service und Marketing GmbH offers German language courses (as well as courses in other languages) within the Studium Generale. Students can take one language course free of charge. However, this course fee waiver is only applicable for the first 1.500 students who register for one of these courses. The offer only comprises courses that are offered during the semester (so called "Crash Courses" are not included). It is compulsory that you take part regularly. If you are absent for more than four teaching units (normally that is 2 times), you need to pay the whole price of 56 Euros per course subsequently. ECTS credits can usually not be gained in courses of the Studium Generale. A programme of the costs and courses offered can be obtained from the Service und Marketing GmbH in L 9, 7 on the 1st floor or at www.studiumgenerale.uni-mannheim.de.
