Rectorate and Press Office
The university is cooperatedly administrated by the Rectorate, which comprises the Rector (President), three extraofficial Pro-Rectors (Vice-Rectors) and the Kanzlerin (chancellor). Concerning its functions the Rectorate is comparable to an enterprise’s management. Its main task is to implement the strategic aims concluded by the Universitätsrat (University Council).
The Communication & Fundraising Department is part of the rectorate and the interface between the University and the public. It informs the media and external target groups about new developments in studying, research and campus life at the University. The department is the first point of contact for journalists when it comes to University topics. We also advise and support University staff in matters of press and public relations.
