The University of Mannheim established a work group of university members and student representatives to coordinate the numerous refugee projects at the University. The work group is led by Prof. Dr. Rosemarie Tracy, Vice President for Research, Equal Opportunities and Young Researchers.

The University of Mannheim offers excellent academic programs for undergraduate and graduate students in six departments:

All undergraduate programs as well as most graduate programs are taught in German and therefore require advanced proficiency (level C 1). However, we also offer five master's programs completely taught in English.

German Language Courses Offered in Mannheim
Most of the graduate programs at the University of Mannheim require advanced reading and writing skills in German. But improving your reading and writing skills in German will also help you settle in as quickly as possible, on- and off-campus. Several institutions in Mannheim offer language courses at different levels. Language competence is assessed and certified by TestDaF and the DSH examination.
