The Welcome Centre is the central consultation and service point for international researchers at the University of Mannheim.
We offer all-inclusive guidance and consultation for international visiting researchers and scholars (post-docs and professors), as well as support for the hosting institutions and supervisors in the faculties.
We would like to assist you in the preparation and realization of your stay here in Mannheim. You will receive information and individual support on a variety of topics that are important for residing in Mannheim and its surroundings.
Registration (Intranet): Chairs and Institutes of the Univesity of Mannheim register international scholars here - the earlier the better! As soon as the international scholars are registered, they and their accompanying family members can profit from the Welcome Centre's services, information and other offers.
Guidebook: Here, you can find all relevant information about the preparation and realization of your stay (Visa, Entry, Health Insurance, etc.)
Living: We will give you a look at Mannheim and the surroundings. Restaurants, Bars, Weekend Trips and general information about the region can be found here.
Guesthouse & IBZ: In this section, you can find information about the guesthouses of the University of Mannheim and how to reserve an apartment or book the international meeting centre. You will also receive support in finding accommodation on the housing market in Mannheim.
