What ENGAGE.EU aims for
ENGAGE.EU is an alliance of leading European universities in business, economics, and social sciences with rich experience in analyzing societal change. The alliance's ambition is to enable its learners to act as socially engaged European citizens and to have impact on society at large.
For this purpose, seven universities from seven different countries have decided to transform themselves into the ENGAGE.EU European University and change the way they educate, investigate, innovate and reach out. The partner universities want to become an incubator for driving societal change based on academic excellence and working with society.
Starting points are the big challenges that drive societal change: digitalization and artificial intelligence, climate change, aging societies, migration, and all those challenges related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as new challenges that may emerge in the decades to come. Building on the partners' background in social sciences, ENGAGE.EU strives for a comprehensive approach, following three interconnected paths: ENGAGED Learning, ENGAGED Research and Innovation and ENGAGED in Society.
