On 25 January 2023, the federal government has decided that the SARS-CoV-2 occupational health and safety regulation will expire prematurely on 2 February 2023. This means that the University of Mannheim will also lift the measures to fight the coronavirus pandemic at the workplace. We will remove posters and stickers with reminders of protective measures that have expired in the upcoming weeks.
Please find more information on how the expiration of the SARS-CoV-2 occupational health and safety regulation affects working on campus.
The current regulations on working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic will expire on 28 February 2023. As of 1 March, the teleworking regulations will apply. Academic staff members will return to the regulations that applied before the pandemic. For non-academic staff members, the new telework agreement will enter into force, meaning that you can work from home for up to 50 percent of your working time. Until 1 March, you can coordinate the new regulations within your team and submit a formal telework request, if applicable.
The Department of Procurement will provide Covid-19 tests and FFP2 masks to employees until the current supply is used up.
Employees who have contact to customers can still get FFP2 masks from the university. Please send a short e-mail to hygienebedarf. uni-mannheim.de
