The University of Mannheim awards around 250 scholarships per year. Students who receive a scholarship don’t just benefit financially; they also receive non-material support, which is just as valuable. As a scholarship holder, you have the chance to meet new people and develop a network.

Students who are considering a career in academia can take their first step by working as a student assistant at the University Library or a chair. Working part-time or doing an internship also enables you to gain work experience while increasing your income.
The Studierendenwerk is the first place to contact if you have questions on how to finance your studies. It can give you advice on BAföG and tell you about other funding options.
The Centre for Higher Education (CHE) also gives an overview of different student loan options in its Student Loan Test (available in German only).
