The Transcript of Records is a document that lists the grades for all coursework and examinations you have completed at the time it is issued, giving you and others an overview of how you have progressed in your studies so far. You can obtain an original of your Transcript of Records bearing an official stamp and signature from the Express Service during their opening hours. You can also have your Transcript of Records sent to you via e-mail or generate and download an electronic version in Portal².
Please read the information below to find out what different documents there are and which version you need for which purpose.
All students enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program or a teacher education program (GymPO) can obtain a Transcript of Records in German and English directly from the Express Service free of charge.

You can also make a request to the Express Service to send you a German or English version of your Transcript of Records via e-mail. This document is generated electronically and valid without signature.

In addition to the different versions of the Transcript of Records described above, you can also see an overview of your grades in Portal² for all the coursework and examinations you have passed so far. You can download this overview as a PDF file or print it out. This document is only for your information and personal use. If you are applying to another higher education institution, please use the signed Transcript of Records.
Upon request, you can obtain a provisional average grade, which we will include in your Transcript of Records.
In the following programs, your provisional average grade is calculated from the mean of all grades received for examinations/
Please bear in mind that we can only calculate your average grade if you have collected 30 ECTS credits or more in your program of studies.
Please also note that different calculation methods apply to the following programs, reflecting the generally more complicated calculation methods used to determine the final grade in these programs:
30–109 ECTS credits: average of all grades received for examinations completed in your major and your combination major, weighted according to ECTS credits
110 ECTS credits or more: average calculated on the basis of the calculation method used for the final grade (module A x percent, module B x percent...)
