For academic papers, not only the content is crucial, but also their external form. The best content is of no use if the presentation does not meet certain standards.
This is not an end in itself, but serves the clarity, comprehensibility, traceability and thus ultimately the content.

Therefore, problems with the creation of text documents in Word should be addressed here.
The result should be adequately presented content:
    Word (term paper/paper/thesis)

Assuming the appropriate content (to be created by the participants themselves), the results should formally meet academic standards.

The presentation of the – in the best case already existing – content should be helped here.

The following contents will be dealt with – as required:

    • Formatting with style sheets
    • Use of automatic functions (numbering, outline, table of contents)
    • Page numbering
    • Title page
    • References (e.g. footnotes)
    • Inserting objects (e.g. graphics and tables)

Attention: Coaching – not a course for knowledge transfer:

There should be documents on the part of the participants to work on.

However, individual contents can be explained in the plenum.

Individual formatting problems can be addressed.

Please send us for registration an email to: studiumgenerale service.uni-mannheim.de

Please do not forget your matriculation number and faculty affiliation!
