Prof. Dr. Hartmut Höhle joined the University of Mannheim in Fall 2017 and holds the chair of Enterprise Systems. Prof. Dr. Ernst Maug Ernst Maug has been professor for Corporate Finance at the University of Mannheim Business School since February 2006. Prof. Dr. Hartmut Wessler is Professor of Media and Communication Studies at the University of Mannheim and project director at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES). Prof. Dr. Carsten Trenkler is Professor of Empirical Economics at the University of Mannheim since 2007. He also holds a position as Research Professor at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremburg. Prof. Dr. Annelies Blom is Research Professor Data Science and Director of the German Internet Panel (GIP). Prof. Thomas Gschwend, Ph.D. is a Professor for Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences at the School of Social Sciencesand a project director at the Mannheimer Zentrum für Europäische Sozialforschung (MZES), University of Mannheim.
Prof. Dr. Florian Keusch is an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Methodology at the University of Mannheim School of Social Sciences and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) at the University of Maryland. He also serves on the Faculty Board of the International Program in Survey and Data Science (IPSDS).
Prof. Dr. Irene Bertschek is head of the research department “Digital Economy” at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim and Professor of Economics of Digitalisation at Justus Liebig University Giessen.
Dr. Georg Licht is head of the ZEW Research Department “Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics”. He has been holding this position since June 1994. Before that, he was a senior researcher both at ZEW and the University of Augsburg. He obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Augsburg and holds a degree in economics from the University of Heidelberg.
Prof. Dr. Heiko Paulheim is professor for Data Science at the University of Mannheim. His research interest lies in the area of knowledge graphs on the web and their applications, data quality and data cleaning on knowledge graphs and societal impact of artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Simone Paolo Ponzetto joined the Data and Web Science Group in February 2013 as Juniorprofessor and holds since February 2016 the Chair of Information Systems III (Enterprise Data Analysis) as full professor at the University of Mannheim, where he leads the Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval group.
Dr. Sabine Gehrlein is Director of the Mannheim University Library. The library’s objective is to provide the best possible literature and information infrastructure for research, teaching and study at the university. One focus is on research data management, for instance the UL Research Data Center or cooperation projects such as the BERD Center and the OCR BW Competence Center.
