Conference Program

Here you find the program of the 15th Conference of the Section Methods & Evaluation and presenter guidelines for talks and posters.

  • Guidelines for Talks

Talks in symposia and thematic sessions take place in a “digital live” mode. That is, talks will be held during the conference in real time in the digital conference environment. A previous recording of talks is not required, nor will the talks be recorded during the conference. Questions and comments on the talks will be collected in the chat for discussion immediately following the presentation.

For each talk, a time slot of 17 minutes is scheduled, including 12 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. In addition, we allow for 1 minute between subsequent talks for sharing the screen and starting the presentation. Presenters are kindly asked to follow these rules – 12 minutes presentation and 5 minutes discussion – and to keep the time limits.

To allow international participants to select among the conference contributions, it is mandatory that talks which were submitted in English language and which are announced as English contributions in the program, are presented in English during the conference.

The current time schedule of the scientific conference program can be downloaded here.

  • Guidelines for Posters

Posters will be available from the start of the conference for all participants, and they will be shortly presented and then discussed in a joint poster session.

For that purpose, posters must be submitted as email attachment (pdf file, 1 page) to the following email address by 9th September, at the latest: fgme2021 uni-mannheim.de. The submitted posters will be uploaded by the organizers and made accessible to the conference attendees.

During the poster session, each poster shall be introduced in a short presentation of 4 to max. 5 minutes. Short presentations can use the poster itself or alternatively a presentation with a few slides. The short presentations of posters will be held in thematic small groups (see link to the conference program below).

Following the short presentations, authors of posters should be available for questions, comments and discussion. The discussion phase is scheduled for about one hour.
