Update of 15 February 2021

Due to the new Corona Ordinance, the current coronavirus measures of the University of Mannheim (i. e. closure of the buildings and library) will be extended until 8 March.

Update of 25 January 2021

Due to the new Corona Ordinance, only authorized university members with a valid ecUM card can enter the university buildings until 14 February. As of today and at least until 14 February 2021, all university members are obliged to wear medical-grade masks (single-use surgical masks or FFP2/KN95/N95 masks) wherever the hygiene policy of the university stipulated before that it was obligatory to wear cloth face masks, for example in hallways and communal areas and whenever university members cannot keep the minimum distance of 1.5 meters. The subject libraries also remain closed until 14 February.

Closing of university buildings | contact via e-mail

Due to the new regulations of the Land of Baden-Württemberg, the lecture halls in the Ostflügel may not be used for independent study anymore. This regulation is valid as of today and at least until 31 January 2021. As of today, you cannot register for rooms via Checkin anymore.

Furthermore, the university buildings will be closed as of tomorrow, 17 December and until 10 January. Please also note that most staff members are currently working from home due to the pandemic situation. Please contact them via e-mail or make use of the online consultation hours. This is the safest way to have any urgent questions answered.

Observe loan period for borrowed media

Check your library account to see when your items are due.
Return items in due time so you do not incur late fees.

If possible, please return items you no longer need to the Circulation Desk now so that scan requests can be processed. Many students are waiting for literature that is currently on loan.

For more information, visit the website of the University Library.

Update on the examinations

Most scheduled exams will take place as planned – also the few in-person exams. Several in-person exams were changed to an online format because students explicitly expressed this wish. All affected students were informed about this. As things stand at present, all other exams can take place as planned in December and January. The latest exam schedule is available on the website of the Student Services.
