[Englisch] “Checkin” for Contact Tracing

How does contact tracing work?

On-campus teaching requires the ability to trace infection chains to combat the spread of Covid-19. The contact details of everyone present in an on-campus class have to be documented and stored for four weeks in case the local public health authority requires the information.

Contact tracing is now fully digital via “Checkin”. If you have on-campus classes, you are required to register before going into the classroom on https://checkin.uni-mannheim.de.

Additionally, Checkin allows you to search and book open working spaces at the University. You can use these working spaces in situations where on-campus and online class are timed too close together to commute, you can use these spaces for the online class.
