Open Science Meetup

Dr. Bernhard Mittermaier

online via Zoom

The Mannheim Open Science Meetup turns one year old and invites scholars from all scientific disciplines to the next Meetup which will feature a talk and a discussion on Open Peer Review.

The Mannheim Open Science Meetup is a grassroots initiative that brings together Mannheim-based academics from diverse backgrounds with a shared interest in transparent, reliable research. Scholars from all scientific disciplines are welcome to join our recurring meetings, both experts and Open Science novices.

What exactly is open peer review? Is it superior to the classical peer review process? And why should we engage in open peer review? In our next meetup, these questions will be addressed by Dr. Bernhard Mittermaier, the head of the central library of the Forschungszentrum Jülich. He will share his experiences regarding the peer review process during the current COVID19 pandemic. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and discuss these topics further.

Did you know the Mannheim Open Science Meetup turns 1 at this meeting? We would like to invite you to stay a little bit longer for an informal part to celebrate. We are excited that you have all been such loyal attendants and look back on a great year of open science.
