Scholarship Program 2022/23 “Metropolises in Eastern Europe” of the German National Academic Foundation

The Studienstiftung will award up to nine full scholarships for study visits to Eastern Europe in 2023.

The program is aimed at students of all subjects and is funded by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. It enables individual study and research stays in combination with language courses and internships. Unusual projects away from established academic paths are welcome. Funding is provided for stays in the countries of Eastern, Central Eastern and Southeastern Europe or the post-Soviet region lasting a minimum of seven and a maximum of 24 months.

The program is also open to students who are not yet sponsored by the Studienstiftung as well as to those who have had little or no previous contact with Eastern European countries. After returning from Eastern Europe, program participants will continue to be sponsored by the Studienstiftung.

Your advantages as a scholar of the Metropolis Program:

    Funds for living expenses
Grants for tuition fees, language courses and travel expenses

Interested applicants are cordially invited to attend a virtual office hour on Wednesday, Jan. 25, and Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at 3 p.m. (dial-in dates on the program page).
