Abstract
This workshop provides an introduction to bwHPC compute resources and then focuses on the usage of the bwForCluster MLS&WISO. The course consists of introductory lectures and practical exercises based on them. This course is taught in German. The presentations (slides) are in English.
Covered topics:
- Flexible adaptation of the software environment using environment modules
- The preparation of compute jobs for the batch system
- Data management tools and strategies
- Concepts of parallel programming
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge in Unix / Linux
- You need to bring along a laptop with wireless access via eduroam
- It would be preferred to have access to the bwForCluster. Please verify your login requirements through bwHPC-wiki
