This tutorial focuses on three current methodological issues: p-curves, publication bias, and replication rates. First, concepts are reviewed that are thought to contribute to a better understanding of p-curves. Second, it will be shown how publication bias can inflate effect sizes, and MLE-procedures will be discussed for „removing“ these biases. Finally, a mathematical framework for modeling the effects of questionable research practices (QRPs) on false positives and replication rates is introduced. A checkboard will serve as the primary presentation tool in this tutorial.
