Leonie Fischer was born in Bad Tölz, Germany. She acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on banking at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mosbach. Subsequently, she graduated from the University of Bamberg with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration where she specialized in Business Taxation and International Accounting & Auditing. During her studies, Leonie gained practical experiences in the banking industry as well as in the field of taxation through various internships in Germany and Canada. Furthermore, she acquired experiences in research as a student research assistant. Since November 2017, Leonie has been a researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Corporate Taxation and Public Finance” and a PhD candidate at the Chair of Business Administration and Taxation II at the University of Mannheim. As such, she is following the Taxation Track at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences in Mannheim from September 2018 onwards.
