Martin was born in 1995 near Aachen, Germany. He obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Master of Science in Management from the University of Mannheim. In the course of his studies, Martin spent two semesters abroad, one at the University of Toronto in Canada and one at ESSEC Business School in France. During internships, Martin gained practical experience in M&A as well as auditing, tax and management consulting. Furthermore, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Mannheim. In his master thesis, Martin examined the influence of uniqueness in corporate strategy on credit ratings.
