Sarah Gharbi was born in Besançon, France. In 2015 she received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of Franche-Comté, France. During her undergraduate studies she attend a preparatory school which enabled her to pass the competitive exam of ENS Paris-Saclay. There, she received a Master degree in Economics with a focus on Microeconomics and Public Finance. During her Master degree she interned at Banque de France as a research assistant. Before joining the Taxation track of the Center of Doctoral Studies in Business, she interned at the University of California Santa Barbara as a research assistant with Pr. Youssef Benzarti, working on taxation.
