Mark was born in 1996 in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In 2016, he received his Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Economics and Business Economics at Vrije Universteit Amsterdam. There he specialized in econometrics and mathematical economics and gained teaching experience as a tutor for several undergraduate courses in Economics. In the fall of that year, Mark enrolled in the master’s program at the University of Mannheim and joined the CDSE through the Economic Research Track. His research interests lie in applied microeconometrics, behavioral economics, environmental economics and experimental economics. In his free time, Mark likes meeting friends and family, swimming and visiting football matches.
