Oliver Pfäuti was born in Thun, Switzerland. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bern. He then earned a master’s degree in International and Monetary Economics at the Universities of Bern and Basel.

Oliver’s research interests are in macroeconomics, with a focus on household heterogeneity, deviations from rational expectations and how they matter for macroeconomic policy analysis.

Oliver receives a scholarship from the Foundation “Geld und Währung”.
