David Weyrauch is a Ph.D. student in political science at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science, attained at the University of Vienna and a Master’s degree in political science, attained at the University of Mannheim. During his studies at the University of Mannheim David he gained first research experience as a student assistant to Prof. Dr. Thomas Winzen. His main research interests lie in political institutions (international and domestic) and how they shape the responses to political crises. He wrote his Master's Thesis on the contradictory effects of democratic institutions on the occurrence of terrorist attacks using cross-national time-series data.
