Laura-Ashley Fraunfelter was born in Kirn, Germany. She started studying Psychology at the University of Mannheim in 2013 and now holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive and Clinical Psychology. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the chair of Clinical and Biological Psychology and Psychotherapy, where she gained interest in multimodal information processes. In her master’s thesis, she investigated crossmodal generalization processes in socially relevant stimuli, as well as their relation to therapeutic procedures for anxiety disorders. Her research interests focus on fundamental research involving multimodal conditioning procedures and its application to the etiology and therapy of anxiety disorders.
