Directions to the workshop “Advances in Climate Technologies”

The workshop “Advances in Climate Technologies” takes place in the lecture hall (see map below or Google Maps link) located in the east wing of the Mannheim Baroque Palace.

Arrival by car:
Mannheim is situated close to freeways A5 and A6. From the freeway junction Mannheim on the A6 take exit “Mannheim City” (Mannheim Stadtmitte), and then follow the signs towards the train station (Hauptbahnhof) and University (Universität). The road will lead you into the city, passing the train station on your left. 500 m after the train station you will see the castle on the left, which is the university. In front of the central body you will find the ‘’Ehrenhof’’ (Court of Honour). The Lecture Hall is located in the east wing of the castle (Ehrenhof Ost, EO) on the left side of the courtyard (Court of Honour, “Ehrenhof”). We recommend the parking garage “Uni Mensa Schloss”.

Arrival by Public Transportation:
Leaving the train station, you have to go straight to the major road intersection which you will see in front of you. Then, turn left into Bismarckstraße and after about 700 meters you will see the castle on your left, which is the university. Cross the street and go right through the main entrance. The facility is located in the east of Mannheim Palace on the left side of the courtyard (Court of Honour, “Ehrenhof”).

Alternatively, you can reach the Study and Conference Center by taking the bus no. 60 (direction: Mannheim, Pfeifferswörth), the tram no.1 (direction: Schönau) or no. 5 (direction: Paradeplatz- Heidelberg). In either case, get off at the bus/tram station “Schloss” (You will see the castle on your left).
