In this session, you will learn about the technology of optical character recognition/text recognition (OCR), various tools, and how to use them for your research. OCR automatically captures printed and handwritten text from digital images. This creates searchable and analyzable data. We demonstrate an example workflow in our instance of the text recognition and transcription platform eScriptorium.
