Semester and Tuition Fees

Semester fee

All students studying at a higher education institution in Germany are required to pay a semester fee. In the fall semester 2024/25,the semester fee amounts to EUR 169.You need to pay this fee in order to be enrolled or re-registered for the next semester. The semester fee is made up of three separate contributions:

Administration fee: EUR 70
Studierendenwerk fee: EUR 85
Fee for the constituted student body: EUR 14

International exchange students are exempted from paying the administration fee and the fee for the constituted student body due to exchange agreements between the higher education institutions involved. This means that they only need to pay the Studierendenwerk fee.
