The University of Mannheim considers the equality of women and men to be an important university policy goal. With this goal in mind, many responsible persons at the University of Mannheim actively work together. The focus is on the promotion of young female scientists as well as on the reconciliation of studies, scientific work and career with family responsibilities.

Mourning the Loss of Dr. Dorothee Dickenberger

The University of Mannheim and the School of Social Sciences mourn the loss of Dr. Dorothee Dickenberger, a sociologist and equal opportunity expert. She died on 3 March 2024, a few weeks after her 78th birthday.
