Certificates and Memberships

Once every three years, the commitment of the University of Mannheim for the interests of families is put to the test. Together with an external evaluator of the berufundfamilie GmbH, the services for employees and students with family-related responsibilities are reviewed and enhanced to ensure they are up-to-date. The result: Since 2006, the University of Mannheim has been bearing the certificate “audit familiengerechte hochschule”. Back then, the University of Mannheim was one of the first universities in Germany to receive the certificate.

The large network with currently 134 higher education institutions allows its members to exchange their experiences and knowledge. In accordance with the association’s self-image, the University of Mannheim takes part in the annual conferences and actively participates in various working groups to support families at the university in the best possible way.
