ERC Grant for Mannheim Sociologist Lars Leszczensky

The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded a prestigious ERC Starting Grant to Mannheim Sociologist Dr. Lars Leszczensky. The researcher will receive approx. 1.5 million euros to analyze how the social contacts of children influence those of their parents, and vice versa.

TransforMA

The University of Applied Sciences Mannheim and the University of Mannheim have been successful with a joint application to the “Innovative Hochschule” funding initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF): starting in January 2023, both Mannheim higher education institutions will receive EUR 12 million in funding over the next five years to implement their innovation and transfer strategy.

University of Mannheim Joins German Reproducibility Network (GRN)

Since July 2022, the University of Mannheim has been a member of the German Reproducibility Network (GRN), a multidisciplinary consortium advocating for more transparency in research. The University of Mannheim is the first university to join this network.
