International QS Ranking: The University of Mannheim Is Germany’s Best University in Economics and Business Administration Again
In the worldwide comparison of the “QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024”, the University of Mannheim ranked number 136 in the Social Sciences and Management category. In the area Accounting & Finance, it ranks first in Germany once again, in the areas of Business & Management Studies and Economics & Econometrics it ranks second.

In the current “QS World University Ranking by Subject”, the University of Mannheim has been named the fourth best German university in the Social Sciences and Management category.
In this category, the University of Mannheim was evaluated in seven different areas. It was particularly successful in the area Accounting & Finance, where it ranked first in Germany. In Business & Management Studies and Economics & Econometrics it ranked second. Overall, Mannheim is hence the best-ranked German university in business and economics. In political science, it achieved a shared second place in Germany-wide comparison. Moreover, the university also placed among the top ten best German universities in each of the other areas evaluated (sociology, media and communication studies, as well as psychology, which is part of the Life Sciences & Medicine category).
The “QS World University Rankings by Subject“ are published every year and this year rank more than 1,500 universities worldwide in terms of their research reputation, cross-border research collaborations, the number of their publications and citations, and the reputation of graduates with employers.
