How to Use Images

Visual language makes an important contribution to identifying the website or print publications as part of the University of Mannheim brand. Please adhere to the following rules for the use of photos:

1. Only use photos for which you have received written consent from the photographer or photo agency.
2. Please also make sure that you have received written consent from the person portrayed. For this purpose, the Marketing Department provides a declaration of consent which is available in both English and German.
3. You must indicate the name of the photographer or the photo credit agreed upon directly with the picture.
4. As a website operator, you are responsible for the correct use of pictures and for naming the photo credits as stipulated by law. Legal actions and costs resulting from improper use of pictures are forwarded to the respective university institution or office. This also applies to the use of pictures in print publications.
