Submission of Term Papers in the Exam ILIAS

Please note: In the spring semester 2025, we will test the submission of term papers in the Exam ILIAS with some departments. The submission of term papers will then be successively expanded.

The electronic submission of term papers will be transferred from the normal ILIAS to the Exam ILIAS. This is to relieve the workload of ILIAS and to ensure that you can now find all examinations in one place in the Exam ILIAS. Security precautions, work performance, and the connection to the electronic student file are also better warranted by using the Exam ILIAS.

Important steps

  • How is the course created in the Exam ILIAS?

After Student Services have created the examination with the term paper as examination form in Portal², a corresponding course is exported to the Exam ILIAS. The responsible examiners are stored here as course admins. If additional people need access, they can be added by all course admins.

Important: In Portal² and in the Exam ILIAS, the examination date is always set to 31 January (fall semester) and 31 July (spring semester) noon, as a placeholder. Be sure to change the submission deadline in the Exam ILIAS as soon as you set up the course in the Exam ILIAS. The actual submission deadline can be entered here (date and time). Students know that the deadline in the Exam ILIAS is the decisive deadline and that the information in Portal² is only a placeholder.

  • How do I set up the term paper submission?
