The annual Workshop on Conflict Dynamics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, brings together early career researchers working on armed conflict, broadly defined, to discuss and receive feedback on their research from their peers and senior researchers. The workshop is an independent event organized by researchers from University of Oxford, University of Birmingham, and University of Konstanz.
The idea for this workshop was born at the “Home for Cooperation” located in the UN buffer zone in Nicosia, Cyprus. Since 2017, the Workshop on Conflict Dynamics provides a home of cooperation – feedback, exchange, and networking – for early career researchers working on questions of peace and conflict. We take pride in providing a constructive environment for feedback in particular on early stage projects. Research presented at the workshop has been published in leading journals in the field including the American Journal of Political Science and the Journal of Peace Research.
