ecUM without photo from 1 July 2025

Starting on 1 July 2025, the ecUM will have a new design. There will no longer be a photo on the front of the card. The photo will be replaced by a QR code. This will affect all cards issued after 1 July 2025. Existing cards can still be used. 

As of 1 July 2025, all university members who receive a new ecUM will get the photo-free version. Please note, especially in the context of examinations and exam reviews, that the ecUM of students is not sufficient as a sole and unique identification document. The ecUM is only valid in conjunction with an official photo ID.
