How do I register for M365?

As a student at the University of Mannheim, you can use your own Microsoft 365 instance to effectively collaborate within your learning groups, regardless of their location.

Paid version

The paid version with a Baden-Württemberg license via Bildung 365 (@bwedu.de) will no longer be available. You will not be able to renew your corresponding subscription.
Please back up your data stored there in time, as they cannot be recovered once your license has expired. 

Students can use the free version to receive an M365 license including the desktop versions of the applications available.

How do I activate M365?

  1. The Microsoft 365 applications are activated online via MyUni-ID. For this, it is necessary to accept the Terms of Use and the Data Protection Policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the settings in MyUni-ID. As a result, however, your Microsoft 365 user account (including all data stored) will be deleted. For more information on the individual steps that need to be taken for activating your account, please go to our instructions (access for university members only).
  2. The activation may take up to 48 hours. After your registration is complete, you can log into the M365 environment.

How do I log into M365?

To log in, you have to be registered for Microsoft 365 for students. To register, please follow the corresponding instructions.

Log in as follows:

  1. Open the page https://login.microsoft.com/.
  2. Enter your e-mail address in the format Uni-IDmail-students365.uni-mannheim.de, replacing “Uni-ID” with your personal Uni-ID.
  3. You will be redirected to the login page of the University of Mannheim. Log in with your Uni-ID and the corresponding password.
