Peer Consultations
The university offers a peer consultation format for teaching staff.
Peer consultations are three-hour sessions that take place during the semester. They are moderated by experts in didactics and give teachers the opportunity to openly talk with colleagues about teaching questions, ideas, and problems.
Dates
In the fall semester 2026, there will be four peer consultations forming part of the “Fit für die Lehre” course, two of which will be held digitally and two in person.
The in-person consultations will take place on
| Tuesday, 6 October 2026, 9 a.m.–noon | moderated by Dr. Michael Fischer |
| Tuesday, 20 October 2026, 9 a.m.–noon | moderated by Dr. Leonie Bröcher |
The digital consultations will take place on
| Tuesday, 17 November 2026, 9 a.m.–noon | moderated by Dr. Michael Fischer |
| Wednesday, 9 December 2026, 9 a.m.–noon | moderated by Dr. Leonie Bröcher |
If you would like to attend one of the peer consultations, please add your name to our booking list.
Please only register for sessions you will actually attend.
If you would like to cancel your registration, please contact the Teaching and Learning Center (zlluni-mannheim.de).
In the case of in-person consultations, we will send you an e-mail including the respective room shortly before the day of your consultation. In the case of digital consultations, we will send you an e-mail including the respective Zoom link shortly before the consultation date. One day before each peer consultation, we will compile the list of participants based on the registrations.
Note for participants from other universities
Please note that if you teach at another university but attend the “Fit für die Lehre” course at the University of Mannheim, you must also complete both subsequent peer consultations in Mannheim.
