AiDaLi
Through OER Production to AI and Data Literacy
AI and data literacy are increasingly becoming a focus at universities. However, there is often a lack of integration into the curriculum. In the humanities in particular, there is a shortage of subject-specific Open Educational Resources (OER) for teaching these skills. At the same time, the rapid development of generative AI requires the further evolution of teaching and assessment formats.
This is precisely where the AiDaLi project comes in. As a collaboration between the ZLL, the University Library, and the Chair of Psycholinguistics, the project will integrate AI and data literacy into teaching in a sustainable manner between April 2026 and March 2028 and test innovative didactic approaches. The focus is on a practice- and research-oriented concept. Students of English linguistics will independently create learning materials that can be used across disciplines.
The project-accompanied courses will take place during the semesters in fall 2026/
The AiDaLi project focuses on the active development of students’ competencies: They develop content independently, reflect on the use of generative AI tools, and document their learning process. Key objectives include building solid data and AI competencies by incorporating technical, methodological, and ethical perspectives, as well as creating freely accessible open educational resources. All developed materials and teaching concepts will be published in the spirit of open science and made available for long-term reuse in higher education.
