Courses and exams
Courses and exams need to be registered separately. You need to register an exam for every course in which you’d like to obtain credits, regardless of the type of examination (e.g. written exam, presentation, …). This applies to all exams except for ZEW summer courses (see below).
If you’d like to attend a course without obtaining credits, you register for the course, but not for the exam. Course attendance only can not be listed in the transcript.
Course registration
- Course registration: 15.01. – 31.01.26
- Deregistration courses: until 01.03.26
- ZEW summer courses: Course registration via ZEW webpage.
Exam registration + dissertation proposal
- Exam (de)registration (written exams): 02.03.26 until three days before the exam
- Exam (de)registration (Dissertation Proposal): Use the form to register your proposal, date on the form = start date (recommended: 01.04.).
To enable us to enter your grade in Portal2, please register the following exam: 613928-DOCECO-DR-0-P “Dissertation Proposal”. - Exam (de)registration (all other exams, including presentations): 02.03. – 22.05.26
CDSE seminar
If you're presenting in the CDSE seminar, please send your presentation title + ideally abstract to cdse.gess@uni-mannheim.de two weeks beforehand. We'll include it in the department's weekly poster and vwl-talks mailing list announcement.
