Getting around in Mannheim between Conference Venue, Conference Hotel „Motel One“ and Dinner Location „St. James“ can be easily achieved by foot. Additionally, various tram lines run frequently between stops in the immediate proximity of the locations.

The University of Mannheim is a 10-minute walk from Mannheim Central Railway Station, and next to the Universität Tram stop (served by the 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 15 trams).

Access by car

You can reach the university by taking the A6 highway and exiting at Mannheim Mitte. Take the B37 and follow it past the Planetarium and then turn left following the sign indicating Universität. Once you have passed Mannheim main station, you are on Bismarckstrasse, which leads you directly past the palace where the university is located (the Schloss). The main entrance to the Schloss is in the east wing or Ostflügel. As you drive along Bismarckstrasse, you will pass by the east wing first on your left. Unfortunately, the University of Mannheim does not have a visitor's car park. We recommend using the parking lot underneath the Mensa (dining hall), address: Bismarckstraße 12, 68161 Mannheim.


Access by plane

Thanks to Mannheim's excellent location and connections, the city is within easy reach of the main international airports, e.g., Frankfurt International airport.

Frankfurt airport: with direct connections worldwide, Germany's largest airport can be reached by train in about 30 minutes from Mannheim. No matter where you come from, you will be in Mannheim in no time.

Other international airports that can be reached from Mannheim in under two hours are Stuttgart, Baden-Baden, and Strasbourg.

Venue

The conference will be held in the Aula (auditorium; room number “O 102”) as well as the rooms O 048 and SO 418 in the East Wing of Mannheim Castle.

The main track of the conference which will be streamed takes place in the Aula. The keynotes, coffee breaks and poster presentations are scheduled to be held in the Aula as well.

The conference office is located next to the Aula.  Placed wayfinding signs are available on site for additional guidance.

All rooms, Aula, O 048 and SO 418 are equipped with projectors, tables and chairs, microphones as well as standard soft- and hardwares.

Presentations can be held either via the installed PC or own device (Aula and O 048), and via own device (SO 418).
