The submission of final theses will be set up in Prüfungs-ILIAS at pruefung.uni-mannheim.de. All examination courses for which you have been registered as course admin are displayed here.

Below you will find detailed instructions on how to set up the submission of final theses.

Important steps

  • How is the course created in Prüfungs-ILIAS?

After Student Services have created the examination with the final thesis as examination form in Portal², a corresponding course is exported to Prüfungs-ILIAS. The responsible examiners are stored here as course admins. If additional people need access, they can be added by all course admins.

  • Who sets the submission deadline?

The submission deadlines for bachelor’s theses are as follows:

    • Sociology: Friday, 29 May, 1:00 p.m.
    • Political Science: Friday, 29 May, 1:00 p.m.
    • Business Administration: Thursday, 18 June, 1:00 p.m.
  • How do I handle deadline extensions?

In some cases, students need more time for their final thesis, e.g., due to illness or for similar reasons. You may set these individual extended deadlines at your own discretion in Prüfungs-ILIAS. For the steps required to do so, please see the Quick Guide.

  • How do students have to confirm that they have completed their final thesis independently?

The declaration of originality is part of the submission process. By completing Step 1 in Prüfungs-ILIAS, students confirm that they have completed their thesis independently. In this step, a text box including a passage to this effect is displayed. Students no longer have to submit a separate signed printout of the declaration of originality.

  • Where do I find the submitted theses?

In your exam course, click on “Step 2” and then on the “Submission and grades” tab. All final theses are stored there and can be downloaded as often as you like. To do so, navigate to the very right. Click on “Actions” and then on “Download submission.”

  • How do I deal with problems?

Contact the Digital Examinations Team at any time if you have any problems with the setup: e-pruefunguni-mannheim.de.

If students are unable to view the examination course, please refer them directly to the responsible Student Services advisor.
