Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the University of Mannheim is held once a year. During the meeting, the Executive Board reports on the Association's activities over the past year, while the President of the University provides an update on current developments at the University.

For many years, it has been a valued tradition for the meeting to be followed by an exclusive presentation by a University of Mannheim professor, giving members first-hand insight into an exciting research project and the University's research activities.

Following the Annual General Meeting, a different lecture each year offers members a special opportunity to learn about current research at the University of Mannheim.

This year's Annual General Meeting will take place on July 21, 2026 starting at 6:00 p.m.

Invitations have already been sent by email or post. In addition to the formal agenda items, the meeting offers members the opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and discuss current developments at the University.

Following the meeting, Dr. Jette Völker will give a presentation entitled “Success Requires Recovery.” In her talk, Dr. Völker explains why so many people experience burnout as a result of their work and what we can do to restore our energy and resilience.

We look forward to welcoming many of our members and reflecting together on the Association's activities over the past year.

Registration is open until 17 July 2026 by telephone at +49 621 181 1274 or by email at assistenzstiftung-uni-mannheim.de.
