Our Goals
Science needs friends.
Companies, institutions and private donors come together in the “Freunde der Universität Mannheim” association. This way, they strengthen their connection to the university and at the same time show their support for its goals.
Since the foundation in 1952, the University of Mannheim can count on the association and its large network. The association supports the university in strategic planning and the financing of special research, cultural or teaching projects. In 2005, for example, Freunde der Universität Mannheim initiated the establishment of the University of Mannheim Foundation together with Absolventum, the university's alum association. The foundation has since become another important funding institution.
Researchers and practitioners, teachers and learners. The University of Mannheim has many bright minds who change the world with their knowledge and skills. Each and every one of them in their own way. Whether it is researchers, thinkers, free spirits, or founders – supporting young talents on their journey is one of the most valuable contributions we can make to our society. That is why I am happy to be a friend of the University of Mannheim.
