The media editing stations at the University of Mannheim offer students and employees extensive services for professionally creating and editing digital media.
The media editing room has nine work stations. You can use the pre-installed programs of Adobe-Collection CS6 to realize your projects or to participate in media courses to edit film, photo and audio material. For professional and high-quality recordings, we also have a sound and video studio, which you can use to further develop your teaching methods or to prepare digital lectures.
In the media courses, you learn the basics of the Adobe programs Photoshop CS6, Audition CS6 and Premiere CS as well as Affinity Photo.
The courses are free of charge and suited for beginners. Please note that the programs and the courses offered are currently only available in German.
Please go to the courses section to see the current dates and information on the registration.
You can create your own sound and video recordings in our sound and video studio. We are happy to support you. Please schedule an appointment in advance. Only UNIT employees are allowed to operate the devices.
Our sound isolation booth enables you to record presentations, lectures and tutorials without interfering noises. Please bring a paper version of your script, still water and an USB stick.
Our video studio is equipped with professional video equipment, teleprompter, various backgrounds and studio spotlights. Please make sure to bring your script, still water and wear adequate clothes (no small patterns, no red clothes and a white shirt / white blouse only in combination with a dark jacket / blazer).
We support you during the entire recording process. We are also happy to assist you with the further editing in the editing room in W347.
