Teresa Fritsch

Short profile

Teresa Fritsch has been a PhD candidate at the Chair of SME Research and Entrepreneurship at the University of Mannheim since April 2025 and has been a recipient of a scholarship from the EQUA Foundation. 

During her dual Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on SME Management at FHDW Paderborn, Teresa gained valuable practical experience with a leading company in the field of organizational and leadership development. She then spent three years at the Competence Center Arbeitswelt.Plus, where she was involved in a project focused on developing innovative AI applications for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, she actively supported startups in the East Westphalia-Lippe region as a mentor.

Teresa earned her Master's degree in Economics, Psychology, and Management at the University of Kassel, graduating at the top of her class, while also gaining practical experience as a student consultant.  After graduation, she spent a year abroad in Australia.

In her research, Teresa combines her interest in organization, innovation, and transformation with a particular focus on family firms. She investigates how these firms preserve their cultural identity while navigating processes of organizational change. Her work places a special emphasis on long-term resilience and the unique challenges faced by family firms.
