Data Access

Access via the GESIS Data Archive

The data of the German Internet Panel and the Mannheim Corona Study are available for scientific use in common formats.

To order the data sets, please follow the instructions in the document below.

On-Site Data Access

The GIP collects a wealth of detailed information as well as paradata that cannot be provided in Scientific Use Files for reasons of data protection.

In order to enable scientists to work on these data, the GIP offers On-Site Data Access (ODA) at our researcher workstation at the Schloss Schneckenhof Library.

Citation Guidelines

All publications based on data of the German Internet Panel (GIP) or the Mannheim Corona Study (MCS) must contain the following references:

  • GIP Data

    • “This article uses data from the wave(s) [XX-XX] of the German Internet Panel (GIP; DOI: [insert DOI(s) here]; Blom et al. [year of data publication]).
