Ebru Sarikaya

Short profile
Ebru Sarikaya studied Business Administration at the University of Cologne and the University of Wuppertal, with a focus on Finance & Business Psychology in her Bachelor's and Entrepreneurship & Technology and Innovation Management in her Master's. During her studies at the University of Cologne, she worked as an assistant to the professor at the Chair of Economic and Social Psychology. Simultaneously, she was employed at Commerzbank AG, starting as a working student in the SME Bank in Düsseldorf. As the study group leader for 27 other students, she led numerous projects in the SME Bank and Corporate Banking at the management level. After her studies, she started as a Sales Assistant in Corporate Banking and progressed to become a Corporate Client Advisor for SMEs. During this time, she completed a stay abroad in Trade Finance in London. In her subsequent position as Manager of Corporate Banking, she was also responsible for a large portfolio of major clients.
Since 2020, she has been working as a Research Associate at the ifm Mannheim in the Labor Market team and has been a doctoral candidate at the chair since 2023. In addition, she teaches as an external lecturer for Advanced Strategic Financial Management at the master's level at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and has also been working as a research associate at the NIERS Institute at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences since 2024.
