Prof. Dr. Achim Oberg

Short profile

Achim Oberg studied Business Informatics at the University of Mannheim and the University of St. Gallen. Following his studies, he began working as a research assistant at the University of Mannheim in the Chair of General Business Administration and Organization held by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alfred Kieser. Together with Michael Woywode, Mr. Oberg moved to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Institute for Business Administration), RWTH Aachen University (Chair of International Management), and the Institute for SME Research and the Chair of Entrepreneurship and SME Research. Since July 1, 2020, Achim Oberg has held the Professorship for Sociology, specifically Digital Social Science, at the University of Hamburg.

Extended research stays: Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research at Stanford University

Memberships: Former member of the German National Academic Foundation Society for Informatics European Group for Organizational Studies Academy of Management
