Dr. Baris Istipliler awarded Add-on Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Economics

Dr. Baris Istipliler has been awarded the Add-on Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Economics from the Joachim Herz foundation. This fellowship supports researchers working across disciplines in economics. The foundation supports each year up to 50 young scientists who are employed at an academic institution in Germany, whose economic research questions are interdisciplinary and highly relevant to society, and who thus contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Baris’s research primarily focuses on understanding how entrepreneurs think and perform. A central theme guiding his work is identifying what distinguishes successful entrepreneurs from their less successful counterparts across various task environments. To this end, he examines the roles of biases, dispositions, experiences, and expertise at different entrepreneurial stages and in diverse contexts.
The fellowship will help Baris advance his research, offering resources and opportunities to collaborate with other scholars in the field. More details on the fellowship are available here.
