DT4SME network meeting in Mannheim

After six months of intensive online collaboration, the ifm invited research teams from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine to their first network meeting in Mannheim in September. This was an opportunity to deepen the transnational scientific exchange and to learn more about the research projects of the respective teams.
The programme included workshops on empirical research methods as well as visits to the “Economics of Innovation and Patenting” conference at the ZEW (Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research) and the Open Science Lab at the University of Mannheim. One of the highlights was an excursion to the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden. Here, a ride on the historic paternoster took the participants to the conference rooms on the top floor. After enjoying the panoramic view of the city, speakers from the office gave an insight into the production and analysis of statistics relevant to SMEs.
At the end of an eventful week, it was time to say goodbye until the end of 2025, when the teams plan to complete their research projects and present them at a joint final conference in Mannheim.
